    Thanksgiving Food

Now I must confess something. I love to cook, but since I have no freedom in my small kitchen, I have decided for the first time we are going out for once. I did have someone invite us over, but because of my brittle asthma, I cannot do it. so probably going out, not my first choice, but I also do not want the dishes and clean up everyone dumps on me.

I do love to cook, but it is a big struggle to do it unless I have a clean kitchen all to myself. Maybe you are not like that, but I am extremely introverted and do not want to clean up to cook and have them come in and make another mess while I am doing it so I am not going to go there.

So today it is just a mere dream of times past when I had such liberty. I will content myself with the dream of food I would love to do if I had better circumstances.

    Advent Calendars Can do

A couple days ago , I posted really nice DIY advent countdown calendars, but they needed things I did not have or were just too involved for my schedule. I finally settled on Image

I love the stick one so simple. For one of my boys. The other for one of the girls. I will probably have to vary these slightly to work them with the stuff I have.  I found these 2 ideas at: http://www.tipjunkie.com/holiday-crafts/christmas/best-advent-calendar/

That takes care of 2 children.

Over at http://brightandblithe.wordpress.com/2009/12/15/tea-tree-advent-calendar/ I found this cute idea.

    Image

I have tea I need to use anyway. if the kids do not like it , I must force myself to drink it.

The final one is just one I came up with that is a photo idea I bought the background for and never have gotten done. Will label 25 photos thrown in boxes and have a daughter or son do one a day.

    Advent Calendars

Okay, this morning advent calendars are driving me. I already have 2 home made an usually do 3 or 4 depending on how many “kids” are home.

So looking up on “Swagbucks” http://www.swagbucks.com/?cmd=home. Give me credit here if you sign up. I did find oodles of ideas.

Unfortunately these are mainly ones you need special things to do and really involved. They are beautiful so I will post the links. When I read my husband drilled, cut, etc. I know that one is out for me because I have no helper like this. It is up to me to do it myself.

    Not your Average Joe Pumpkin

The love of the pumpkin. The taste in a sweet made coverup. The look of bright orange and now other colors they come in.The shape. The use of different shapes and sizes inside and out. The cost for such a simple fun idea. Large pumpkins adorn the porch. While minis-and gourds sit on the mantel.
Because Of Pinterest I have branched out and expanded my creative skills. I am thinking as many are: ” Why didn’t I think of this?”

So I bought the usual mini pumpkins gourd things and gave 1 to each kid with this and that from the craft room. First I showed them my pins here:  http://pinterest.com/luvtapin/holiday-autumn/

This is what they came up with:

    Mini Pumpkin decors.

These are the ones I did:

    Yarn Pumpkins

Yarn, (I branched out and did one in grey blue. Love that color. Pine cones, yarn- and glue if you want to put more effort into it. I did not use the glue it. Mine may be loser than the original  but adore the this way.

Now this is not a pumpkin, but an apple gourd I found at the pumpkin festival. I had never heard or ever seen one prior. But they are beautiful green and apple shaped. In place of a pumpkin I had not gotten I decorated this instead:

Glue and glitter on top of it. I also wish I had sprayed a sealer since I have lost a lot of glitter. Hey I am learning as I go here-,Aren’t you or were you born perfect? with kids , who needs a tornado? I may update this with more glitter and glue and sealer.

The green gourd is supposed the last long time.

Unfortunately, Oh how I tried to get my kids to not go with average Joe pumpkin, but we have this one also and it is not a pretty site:

    Giving up the Ghost

I did get so far as to talk her into topping it with crayon melting as seen at the link. Her dad in co conspiracy, helped her cut it open and it is going the way of the usual pumpkin deco we all are used to doing years ago before the dawn of Pinterest modern day.

    Starting over.

One day on manic bipolar, with enormous amounts of motivation beyond the norm. A lot owing to being told a blog must be centered on a single subject to be read; I made 5 blogs centered on 5 subjects. I love those blogs, but I cannot keep up with them.

So I decided to be myself and just post as I want to by starting completely over.

Besides I was annoyed by blogger since I could get no answer with several things that were not working on there.

Many blogs I follow or go to for these said prior mentioned hobbies change over to WordPress eventually. I wondered what the fuss and why that is. Maybe the same things that annoyed me about blogger. I thought maybe before I amass followers I should give this blog host a try. I am really liking the help to do the blog on here. They really seem to help you much better than blogger. I love the way the community works and so much more.

1 things I do not like about WordPress so far is the blog template unless upgrading is only done with what they give you. But on thinking about that factor. That may be good for me, since I overdue the simplicity I need to get this goal accomplished. The blog is the color and banner you are given by them.

I can live with that. it’s back to posting all I love and what I am enthused about that moment, that day. Life is too short to not want to blog because you overdid your hours to do it.
