Hey , thanks to all my new followers. This week is a go, go , go week and my head is spinning. I hope to get back on here more later in the week or early next week. I dislike missing out on all to see on here. Better than FB in many ways. Catch you all soon. “You all” southern accent? I will take it.

I love this picture. At one time I lived in a house that kind of looked like this. The ghosts just were in my mind though then and now. Been through a lot, just me and God. The world is closing in , but I am not showing it . Broken. Anyway, the beauty is still there like this house. Like riding a roller coaster, you have to get off and want to be on it forever.

So there I am looking for treasure, scavenging along in the field to the left of our house, when I remembered the snake I had spotted in our other pasture. As the piles of leaves underfoot crunched beneath my extremely low top sneakers and thin ankle socks All of a sudden I was jarred into reality. Mind you, prior to this I had been moving along surveying the ground all over-that is until I thought of that. I would call it cautiously creeping as quickly as I could back to the safety of my driveway, when I thought of snakes.

Thankfully I had found the small vintage glass bottle before the dread of the
    bite hit..

    My kind of snake.

    My kind of snake.

Blue bottle and others I drug back with me.

Some of my silver colored jewelry- Some is actually silver, some pewter, some antique, vintage. Necklaces are magnetic.

These are diy stuff that is silver toned. Back is foil print art with owl and barn in foreground. To the right is tin can and glass faux french candy jar. In fore front are those clear plastic furniture gadgets you place under your furniture to keep the floor from scratches. I painted them. Next photo will show the idea I came up with to use them for. On the left is the one faux mercury glass I kept from Christmas gifts I made as candle holders.

In the back on the lid of my fax candy jar I used for display are how I used the underneath furniture floor savers I painted. To display pictures. School picture, you never know where to put. The one on the right is also. One of them. If you rember Sesame Street: One of these Things Doesn't Belong: you mjight notice a difference on the one on the left. Here a silver brush that broke made a great picture holder also. This one I did not even have to paint.

I love silver jewelry. That’s what I wear.

In fact I keep my wardrobe simple. Mostly black with gray, silver, and white. For years I had practically no color, but in the last five I’ve added wine, berry, and some pinkish berry tones and some jewel tone blue.

    STAIRS-For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge

    STAIRS-For Cee's Fun Foto Challenge

I am so glad to get a new camera and be able to do Ceee’ photo challenges again. This week it is stairs , steps under which ways. To see the challenge or photos that should be filed under beauty contest of stairways : http://www.ceephotography.com/2013/04/16/cees-fun-foto-challenge-which-ways-featuring-steps-or-stairs/. Would be hard to choose a winner from those.

Well, what was I to do for this challenge if I wanted to do my own photo. There are no pretty or eye catching stairs anyway within miles of my woods. But then I had a light bulb moment, ” Hey, there are the steps that were made to go from the garage to the front door, the steps now in the family room which was converted from the garage to the family den. So we do have 2 large concrete steps in there.

Even if they are in line and win for the “ugly step and stair contest, they are still a winner. (Especially if you want a better way to get in the living room.)

    30 Days of Style

30 Days of Style. I blogged my own skirt I got at a thrift store today which led me to perusing the reader for thrift store finds other have in clothing. I found these great post. I do not know if these were all bought at a thrift store, but she used just a few pieces to pull these ones

off. Helped me to expand what I can do with what I already possess. Besides, maybe this will spur me to post in kind someday. Suffice it to say I decided to re press this since I was so impressed with it.

Thanks Decorum DIYer. I would have to switch the mustard sweater out to blue or something. I love that color, but is not my color palette. I do love the help with all the out fit ways here.

Colors for month of- Navy. Thrift store find.

Friday I found this in my size in a thrift store. It was really cool bohemian style. What really excited me was it was made in the town I was born in- way up in Oregon. I found it in a thrift shop over 2,000 miles away. It is too hot to wear since it is wool.  But am looking forward to wearing it next year or selling it for more than the steal I got it for. This brand is very expensive to buy when new.
