The Thing Nightmares are Made of
When people of serial killers what comes to mind are guys like Ted Bundy, Jeffery Dahmer, Dennis Radar (BTK), John Wayne Gacy or Gary Ridgeway (The Green River Killer). The Latter one was from my state and was in prison for some time in my hometown.
What you may not know is that there are female killers you do not hear much about. Though they kill in different manners and usually for different reasons, about 10% of these kinds of killers are women.
So since it is the season and month of Halloween I thought to add a few of these creepy evil spooky women for October 31st.
If you wish to learn more I will leave a link at the bottom of the post since I will give a short synopsis of the facts.
Left to right first row then 2nd row:
- Jane Toppan: A nurse who killed dozens on her watch who had a sexual motivation she stated. She was found insane. Doubt if that would pass for a reason of a not guilty today (Boston, Massachusetts, Crime started 1885 until caught in 1901.
- Genene Jones: Another nurse who may have killed up to 90 children and infants but only one was confirmed. She injected them so they would get sick and got praise for saving them. Something went wrong and she ended up killing at least one.
- Marianne Nolle: Life in Prison for 7 murders. (1993) She may May have killed up to 17 people they could not pin on her. (Cologne Germany and also a nurse)
- Marybeth Tinning: (1972- 1985) So horrifying to find someone who killed their own children. She got 20 years for the murder of at least 2, confessed to 3 but may have killed up to 9 of her kids.
- Anna Maria Zwanziger: Bavaria. A housekeeper who poisoned her employers with arsenic. She would nurse them back to health for attention. Making mistake she ended up killing 4 and was beheaded for this. (In the early 1800’s)
- Bertha Gifford: Another arsenic poisoner who killed 2 dozen friends and relatives. Killings happened between late 19th century to early 20th century. She died in a mental institution.
- Marianne Nolle: Life in Prison for 7 murders. (1993) She may May have killed up to 17 people they could not pin on her. (Cologne Germany and also a nurse)

I don’t know. Some people confess to murders and.crimes they did not commit. And I believe the green river suspected, convicted murderer is not the real killer. I believe the real takes to different forms of insane pleasures. He is not. molesting anymore and neither is he killing any more… but is comfortable in another crime (has moved on)

I lived in the area it happened at the time with the green river killer. I still have family there. But I do know people confess to things they did not do. But there was piles of evidence with Gary Ridgeway tht could not be disproved. Evidence trumps confessions. Years of investugative work and so much used in the Trial.

Yes, you cannot. I read and study crime a lot and some of them as far as men go extremely good looking; It is so hard to catch them also because the outside appearance and their charisma make people think they are wonderful. They do charity work to look as exemplary citizens. (John Wayne Gacy as an example in Chicago as far as charity goes.) Thank you for commenting.

I am watching a show about one of them called Dark Angel on Amazon prime. Mary Cotton. There were many more listed where I got the info from. I cannot remember if I added her or not. Serial killers in the 1800’s so strange. She killed her own children sickening.
