Taste and See: “Sense of Taste” with Imagininations
Love to do:http://ceenphotography.com/2015/09/22/cees-fun-foto-challenge-sense-of-taste/ New challenge weekly and other challenges. Check them out:http://ceenphotography.com/
The first one is an item I have for sale in my Etsy Shop:
I think it is a beautiful and unique item. I for one have never seen anything like it. Made in the 70’s with tag. It was made in the town I live in. It is really oddball from any side you look at it. (Except to use it for a shop listing.) Anyone that spots it outside of the retail theme, might think it is rather “different.”
If that is not “odd” enough for you. I give you:
Really, i only took it because of the odd egg in the bunch.
Bought these as brown eggs. There was a couple light-brown eggs in the mix, but the one in the middle left row was super white.
How that white egg slipped into the brown container is a mystery we may never know.
For anyone that has the courage to check out my Etsy Shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DappledMoonEmporium?ref=hdr_shop_menu
And I do not ship eggs, neither brown or white. You must find them elsewhere.
Great odd ball photos for this week. Thanks for playing 🙂
I like the soft glowing light in the egg photo 🙂
Thanks for both of your comments.
Love the place. Full of fun discoveries!
Thank you.
I have been slowly getting rid of some of my “too much stuff” or otherwise known as “clutter.” i have probably posted on my love of thrift stores and i know I have written about DIY projects. I still will shop at thrift stores and just finished making some paper beads and egg-shell beads for necklaces. Because both of these are big hobbies of mine, And since my hobbies can overtake all the space in my humble dwelling, I have decided to sell some items I have an overabundance of . I looked around on the internet and decided to give it a shot here: http://www.webstore.com/index.php. I chose this auction marketplace since there is no fee to list and no fee upon a sale. I set up a store front there and have listed about 40 things from all types of categories. So from now on it is the one thing brought into the home and one thing put for sale to keep things out of their floor boxes it sits in to trip around.
As far as the DIY and big art and craft drive I have unless it is outside where I have a huge amount of room; (I am working right now into making the mailbox resemble a school box before school starts this year.) I have run out of spots to display all my great ideas I get from books, blogs and Pinterest. I have even ran out of places to give extra away as gifts also, so I also signed up for Etsy, which I love anyway. This will give me an excuse to keep on my creative side. I am busy getting the shop on there ,up and running. I am starting out with whittling away at extra craft supplies. I have had some craft stuff for at least a decade I thought to make and think someone else would surely put it to use. I also have craft books. that I have doubled up. I am putting those and sewing patterns on there. I never sew since I gave my machine away a long time back.
I have not opened my Etsy shop yet. I have just been listing things and working on other factors of it. I have done 4 treasuries though. I am finding that fits my creativity mindset without the mess. Here is a link to my school bus treasury if you want to drop by: http://www.etsy.com/treasury/MzUxMzUyNzl8MjcyNDgxOTYwNA/back-in-the-yellow-bus?index=1&atr_uid=
Here is my store front on the auction site: http://www.webstore.com/158342,user_id,158342,ac,shop If you have anything to sell or get rid of it is way easy to do it on there.
I am not going to spam you all, but I will give an update on the Etsy Shop and may do a Saturday or Sunday Shop Hop Update about my journey into the foray of making a small bit of mad money.
I had thought I would not get to my red, white and blue up this year for the 4th. I had been sick for about 6 weeks with Pertussis. I was behind on a lot that I had to do. I thought doing the redecorating was not a top priority.
Each year I redecorate with my different holiday collections and according to season for July-August, September-October, November, December, January-February, March, April, and May-June.
I usually just dust around my nick nacks on the edges until I pull everything down. So Saturday the looks of the dust after 3 months made me cringe.
So I went ahead and did it. I Pulled them, dusted the display place. I put some pieces in their proper boxes and I kept out many that go with my Summer Deco theme. This time around I kept out blue , red and white objects that fit for the 4th. I then brought out my specific holiday stuff which consists of about 14 items specifically made for the day. It takes me about 4 hours, but decorating is in my blood. This is when everything finally gets dusted and suffice it to say the 3 month spread from May-June is pretty long and it gets real dusty. Not to mention the same ole, same ole pretty stuff has become stale.
Maybe it was vanity, but We have company coming this Friday and I just could not stand the faded look of my Spring setting and the dust could be embarrassing.
I do not have the best digital camera and my photos are not professional, but here are several photos of a few hot spots on the theme.
Oh and I might add that I usually craft 2 or 3 new things to add out there. One day I will have to part with a few things when the collection gets to large. So some things in these photos were made or recycled this year.
Nice colors!
Awe thank you so much. It will soon be time to decorate for Fall again. So fast changing.
Don’t say that! It’s not even July!
I knows it. I can’t keep up.
Plates I got at a 2nd hand store. Some I am using and some are just for show, What memories these could give if they could talk. If only life’s curves were as smooth to the touch as their edges.
The foto challenge for the week is pick a color. So many of my pictures are not focused on one color. I like her challenges since I have learned I need to spread out and focus on black and white, sepia and 1 color pictures. Now I did find out on paint you can make pictures turn into some of these, but still want to do it from scratch. Any way, I really like color mixtures, but I did find this from a car show we attended in September on vacation.
Sweet truck! I love the color too!! Thanks so much for submitting it! I’m glad my challenges stretch your eye and skills a little bit. How cool!
As always Cee, you are welcome. I do love what I am learning.
