    Home for Christmas

    “Open House” Christmas 2017:

Sorry, some of my photos are not the best. I barely had time to get this post done let alone edit and my house is so dark on dark days it is hard to get images not facing the window light straight on them. From my house to yours, MERRY CHRISTMAS…

Also, some things I have had for ages and they are worn and torn. Like the one green book, I have had since childhood. The tree on green is my daughter’s ugly sweater. Some of the items I made this year, though as you can see my room is limited anymore.

Terrific photographs. They are bright and full of light…it must have been a day filled with sunshine. It’s been dark and cold where I live also…hopefully next week we will thaw out a bit. I LOVE the tree with the branches on the wall. I find it so appealing and sweet…whimsical. Whimsy of all types always appeals to the happiest of sides in me. Have a great 2018.

The stockings are lovely. I liked seeing your Xmas displays. I just got my first Ugly Christmas Sweater in December. Your daughter’s one with the tree on it is awesome 🙂 Happy 2018 xo

    Craft Room – Update #1

I love these craft room ideas. I dod not have a regular craft room at the moment, but when I did I used a rope shelf and the hanging closet item with little shelves for stufff like her. Great ideas. She is a new follower. If you love crafts and handmade check it out.

    Oh yes, they did!

While we haven’t actually started working on the bedroom/craft room makeover, we have started to accumulate various items for it.

We picked up some paint swatches to choose a colour and have decided, I think the final choice, on what we are going to do on the floor.

I am going to add some pictures of what we have accumulated, some of what we have planned and what we have decided on, I think, for the floor.

While we can’t show you all of the ideas we like, (it would probably end up being a novel) you can check out our “Craft Room” Pinterest page and see all of the great ideas people have posted! https://www.pinterest.com/slm3567/craft-room/

Any feedback is more than welcome!

To start with, here are the paint swatches I picked up when I was in town at the Canadian Tire store.

The Achievement(s) I need to Rejoice In

Ever since I first discovered Etsy many years back, I have wanted a shop to sell 2 things I love from: My handmade crafts and Vintage things. About a year ago, I finally achieved this. It has been slow going, baby step by baby step. Gathering and making things, taking photos (Cannot seem to get perfect in this aspect at all.) Listing, packaging, getting in mail. Keeping up with the shop as well as marketing and making contacts. This achievement will never end, but I have done it. I have sold a couple of things and I am up and running at a steady pace.

So for the Word Press Photo Challenge I am sharing some photos from my shop:

    Pinterest does Pumpkins

As I mentioned over @http://ceenphotography.com/ earlier, pumpkins are my favorite thing that happen during the year.

Today I have been pinning pumpkins off and on onto Pinterest. It is amazing how the designing and doings with pumpkins have changed over the years. Here are some creative, cool and different ones I found today on there. (Non of these first photos are mine.)

    PINK! is the new Orange!!!

As you can see i am pumpkin happy. Now here are a couple of my own making and photos:

Little pumpkins my kids did a couple years back. They are so creative. Used whatever they wanted to make them their own. I was so sad when they rotted, though they lasted almost the whole year.

Glue and glitter on top of it. I also wish I had sprayed a sealer since I have lost a lot of glitter. Hey I am learning as I go here-,Aren't you or were you born perfect? with kids , who needs a tornado? I may update this with more glitter and glue and sealer.

Beautiful apple gourds. When I took the photo it had lost a lot of it’s glitter. It was supposed to harden and dry so I could keep it. maybe Missouri is too wet because it molded after about a year also.

    Yarn Pumpkins

I love my yarn pumpkins. I made a white one to go with these this year.

My first go at a “pop up” card. Of course I could not resist trying this when I saw it was for a pumpkin.

Check out my pinterest to see what I pinned: http://www.pinterest.com/luvtapin/

^Lots of help for the Fall gatherings for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Fun and Food.

I am working on having a little Halloween get together. I also am making a paper mache pumpkin. I really want to try my hand at another pop out pumpkin card since the one I did ,  I had to use paper that was not what worked as well as the direction had you use. I got better paper now. I also did some other things  I want to share here, so hopefully I can post more fun stuff soon. (Look for these coming posts.)

P.S. I also see some other blogs with some cute pumpkin ideas I want to skip over and visit. Thanks for reading and looking .

Creative ideas about pumpkins. I have never thought that they could be much beautiful like these photos 🙂

Thanks. I saw some more ideas yesterday like making rooms in a pumpkin with small doll house furniture. There are also ways to preserve them, ( I have not tried that myself.) to keep them from molding. I could have used that with mine that molded, but never knew this prior.
