    Red Metal

Over at Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is the Challenge of Autumn-Metal. She is combining the seasons with their elements. Check it out and join in. I do know many of my followers already do that and It is great to see their entries.

For my entry I have an interesting story:

I keep finding an exact make and model and color car parked beside me. I sometimes see it on the city streets, but never see the driver. Anyway, they keep parking right next to me in the places I go when there is a space beside me. Kind of fun and makes my day somewhat.

So I finally snapped a photo to show my kids because I needed proof since they look at me funny when I have told them this:

    metal red my car blog

Not a super good picture and I did crop it and played around with some tools.  My camera had slipped onto really long and tall photo taking which I did not know had happened.

One day I walked out of a store and strolled over to my car and discovered a woman trying to unlock my car door with her key!!! I asked, can I help you? She looked at me puzzled, then looked at my car, then looked at me. Her car was the next car over, in the next parking spot. Our vehicles were exactly alike and she thought she was unlocking the door to her car. She was a little embarrassed but we laughed about it and didn’t make a big deal about it. I thought of this true story when I saw the photo of the two red vehicles!

    Locked in…..Regrets

    145H

“Of all the words of mice and men, the saddest are, “It might have been.”-Kurt Vonnegut  via Good Reads

Lately, I am regretting so much of my life.

” I never ever thought this could happen to me.”

That being the awesome and full of potential individual I am that I would reach a certain age and look back on what appears to be a ” wasted life.”

This is a long story and even with the ” air” running, my trailer is hot and so stifling I doubt if I can tell it all in one sitting.

But with the way I have been feeling the last couple weeks, I figured the Word Press Daily prompt here :  Word Press Daily Writing Prompt, fit so aptly with all the regrets that are haunting me so I cannot breathe- even though I try to be positive-I thought like journaling, putting them out here on my blog as the notebook page would be a way to vent and gain control of the melancholia which has me in its grasp.

As I said, it is quite a long story. I want to get it going because of the prompt for today. But the heat will have me fleeing to the coolest room in the house soon.

Anyway, though I would love to do a very long post and cover all of my disappointments right now, I think I am going to make this a series. I really would like to have these posts on a schedule, but my shifting sand life with all the extraneous circumstances make it extremely hard to have any schedule at all. That coupled with my anxiety, depression and extreme  sensitivity which makes me even hide from people, and even as crazy as it seems  also interactions on the internet.

I really like blogging photography and short posts because I always have so much going on. I am amazed by bloggers I follow and individual blog posts I discover, how some people either type so well, unlike me or have the time to post long written out articles like this one all the time. (* I have been on Word  Press today visiting blogs I follow, following up on my visitors, like and comments as well as finding prior unknown blogs that have encouraged me, awed me with beauty and expanded my horizons making me thankful.

I actually prepared a couple photos today for photo challenges I follow, which are my favorite blogs to do. They are fun and happy to do. I love photography and have learned a lot, becoming better at it-In spite of just using a cell phone- as well as playing around on photo editing spots. (Cell phone camera fits in with my “regrets”….More on that in another post.( Let’s start from birth with this sad journey.) I warn you, though, the worst of the saga comes much further on.

It is said, ” Do not cry over spilled milk.” Which is great but what if it is not only a glass or gallon but a trough -full that drowns those in its path? And the years have passed and blurred so fast, you were never able to clean  any of it up and it has soaked in and ruined the ground you are standing on.

I was told I always have a choice in everything. At the time, I agreed with this counselor. But then, I thought, “Do most of  those victims in the right place at the wrong time choose to be tortured, held against their will and raped chose that to happen in their lives?” Not all of life is in our control.

I said the latter to draw the conclusion that many things I umbrella under the “regret” theme I had nothing to do with, nothing I could have prevented. The main regret, though, that led to much fallout was even though, I was young and ignorant/ naive of so much in life. One major bad decision………

So let us start at the beginning. Circumstances beyond my control, no choice in the matter…. I was adopted ( My parents were wonderful and that is not the issue.) I was adopted because my mother was only 17, I do not even know if my biological dad knows I exist. And there are things that effect you in the womb I did not know then and actually back then no one knew much either.  It is being discovered how  pre-birth connections have a major effect on the baby.  To be continued……………….

Well written and the meme at the end clearly demonstrates that you have a strong SOH! I guess there are very few of us that have not experienced some kind of depravation at the hands of another … we can’t control or change that, it does shape us but doesn’t define us … how we use that ‘lesson’ to grow is up to us?

It’s just me of course, but I generally have a practice relative to regret: I rebuke it and send it back to the pit it came from.
Self-importance is what my psyche seeks with indulging in regret. Yes, I could’ve dis and dat, humph. Yeah right, given the circumstances, time, my mental state, period and etc., I would have just done a different variable of “Waste” is all. Be careful with regret, it wants to freeze you in time. Stop, enjoy the present moment and give thanks for that. It’s just another version of “The grass is greener…” You will be fine.

Love for Lists. Tuesday Thinking of…..

I love lists. It is so hard for me to keep from reading one of almost any subject if I see one on the internet and “working” Oh the perils of managing your own time and accountability only to yourself!

I also write lists every day. I have actually tried to force myself to not write that “to do” list once and awhile and just relax and “go with the flow” on some days, but it never works. I just want to sleep and am pulling my hair out. I find myself making a list and my left hand just can’t stop my right from doing it. My daily lists usually have anywhere from 15 to 100 things I want to do daily. there is my list of things I try to do daily at the top such as exercise, a load of laundry, work emails, (Yes, even when it is supposed to be my day off; Such is the life of selling stuff on line!) I sweep through the house and pickup all over room by room as fast as I can do it. It is not a perfect sweep by any means and I do try to do it at night before bed also. On work days and some other nights this does not pan out well. I am too tired or just do not want to stop working on building my businesses.

Anyway, here are few sites that fulfill my list cravings:

http://www.listof.org/ Many helpful lists when you need something. Not just fun lists to read.

http://listverse.com/ This is my favorite site for lists.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_lists_of_lists thgis is the never ending list spot. They go on and on. Start with a list, then find another one on the page you went to and spend days there> Reminds me of the guy that died playing video games because he went without stop for about a week. (Yes I did read this fact on a list site. lol)

Put lists on your search engine and see what you find.

So do you make to do lists, grocery lists, fun lists, vacation lists or such and are like me lost without one. Do you like lists or hate them like some people I know? Perhaps you read lists, but do not like to write them. What is your take on lists of any kind-you find?

My internet is acting up and somehow I got an extra photo on there for DIY I did with coasters. At one time they were on a list of craft ‘to do’s’, so am leaving them here.

    If the picture fits.

So call it bad luck, Murphy’s Law, When it rains; it pours, If anything else can go wrong it will and the one I have chosen to come up with in my own humble brain:  “The fox tail in the fur is going to dig in deeper. and there is nothing you can do to stop it.”  Another one I like is: “If you think you were missed, quit thinking.”

    Image

    Balloons do not help.

Just in case anyone did notice I have not been on my blog and posting for a week or so,-which I am in doubt of. lol. Hence,  I have come up with: “Hang onto the doubts, they are usually a certainty.”

Anyway I have been extremely sick with pneumonia., so I do have an excuse.( I will not say the “excuse adage” for those waiting with baited breath for that one.)

So if the pictures fits show them. These 3 fit me better than peanut butter and jelly.

So there I am looking for treasure, scavenging along in the field to the left of our house, when I remembered the snake I had spotted in our other pasture. As the piles of leaves underfoot crunched beneath my extremely low top sneakers and thin ankle socks All of a sudden I was jarred into reality. Mind you, prior to this I had been moving along surveying the ground all over-that is until I thought of that. I would call it cautiously creeping as quickly as I could back to the safety of my driveway, when I thought of snakes.

Thankfully I had found the small vintage glass bottle before the dread of the
    bite hit..

    My kind of snake.

    My kind of snake.

Blue bottle and others I drug back with me.
