Red Metal
Over at Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is the Challenge of Autumn-Metal. She is combining the seasons with their elements. Check it out and join in. I do know many of my followers already do that and It is great to see their entries.
For my entry I have an interesting story:
I keep finding an exact make and model and color car parked beside me. I sometimes see it on the city streets, but never see the driver. Anyway, they keep parking right next to me in the places I go when there is a space beside me. Kind of fun and makes my day somewhat.
So I finally snapped a photo to show my kids because I needed proof since they look at me funny when I have told them this:

Not a super good picture and I did crop it and played around with some tools. My camera had slipped onto really long and tall photo taking which I did not know had happened.

One day I walked out of a store and strolled over to my car and discovered a woman trying to unlock my car door with her key!!! I asked, can I help you? She looked at me puzzled, then looked at my car, then looked at me. Her car was the next car over, in the next parking spot. Our vehicles were exactly alike and she thought she was unlocking the door to her car. She was a little embarrassed but we laughed about it and didn’t make a big deal about it. I thought of this true story when I saw the photo of the two red vehicles!

Wood and Spring
3 Really old photos from when I lived out in the country. One of my newer ones.
This week’s photo challenge over at Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge is based on the seasons and elements, this week’s theme is the season Spring with the matching element along with it: Wood.

Ginger
Love the lay out, would like to learn how to do that. Ideal for such flowers.
-
blueribbonfair
Thank you. When you add more than one photo, I believe you go to the link continue or a word such as that and it has the means to do this. At least for my theme. I think you should be able to do it. You can lay them out in several cool ways. I found it somewhat just messing up myself. Proves that screw ups can bring something good. Just play around with the photo library until you find how to do it. Hope I helped; It is hard to explain when I am not looking at it right now.

I will put it on my list of things to do when time permits … your tips help heaps! Playing around is the best way to find out what we can do.

Love Art Like This – “Sharing a Blog Post
via A glass of the redstuff — redstuffdan I love this person’s art. This one is especially nice I think.
-
theeditorsjournal
Me too! Just like looking at it and sometimes when you say that to the artist it sounds fake because all you can say is a rather pathetic ‘I just like it!’ 🙂
-
blueribbonfair
Awkward sometimes.

And the Winner Is…
Ths week the theme for the above challenge is based on the game: “Rock Paper Scissors.” You remember that game? Maybe your kids or grandkids play it. I did and my kids did. My grandkids may and probably will play it someday.
So “paper” won this round with my cute little Christmas Tag sets. Scissors were 2nd place though since I used them on these. Rock will have to wait until next time.
-
Christy B
I remember that game! I like that there are buttons on some of the tags ~ I wouldn’t have thought of adding them
-
blueribbonfair
I wonder if anyone has never heard of it. I haven’t found anyone that I remember. If you have extra buttons on hand and time and take the fancy, Maybe you might give it a ago. Thanks for your comment.

You’ve created beautiful colours in this photo! I’ve never heard it called ‘Hens and Chicks’. I think we call it Doll Face in Australia?

Orange can be “Fun”
This week’s Word Press Photo challenge here:WP Weekly Photo Challenge, has a “fun” theme. I have been under the weather with new meds I am taking, so I thought this would be relatively simple subject to post for.
This week’s theme is “FUN.” In my estimation, the color Orange is a fun color.
Public Domain Images.

So What is it?

This photo states it is a phone photo, but there is a small phone at the top of the bigger item. So did this item have anything to do with phones? One of those machines workers used to plug the cords into to send the signal over the correct phone lines when we had the dial phone or prior? Anyone have an idea? Interesting item and pretty red color. If you know please let the rest of us in on it.
-
dunelight
It is a switchboard. You called the operator, told her who you wanted to talk to and she manually connected you.
-
dunelight
On second thought…it does look ‘breaker’ ish but I cannot enlarge the photo. It seems like some sort of switching station or switch board but I cannot see it well.

I think you’re right, it’s an antique telephone exchange. Here’s a photo of another one on flickr and with the cords and headset. https://www.flickr.com/photos/sbell/3376316314

A Lock and A Clock
A couple photos for https:Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge.
This week’s theme is “Locks and Clocks.”
I found a couple of photos and worked the color out and then added just a splash droplet of color to the edges:

Flea Market

A Clock on the 2nd-floor landing outside my Dr’s office.
Speaking of clocks, I thought for those that love books I would share some beautiful clock book covers in another post. Check my next post for that. ( I add beautiful book covers to a board on Pinterest.) Pinterest Link to this board.
