I love that our thanksgiving is the 2nd Monday in October…it gives me almost two months of being thankful and being touched by so many. May I reblog this beautiful Thanksgiving wish…I love that you wish us blessings outnumbering the fallen leaves! Blessings to you too, Cheryl-Lynn

    Weekly Photo Challenge: Thankful

    My little chicken n a pot………

You see he was born with a beak deformity which made it hard to eat. The other chickens took his food away since it took him so long to get it down. So I fed him inside. He thought the house was his special coop. My daughter and I saved him from death a few times.

I am thankful for the year and a half I had my special chicken. This Thanksgiving he was gone. A week prior we, had laughed as he ate dog food out of the dog bowl. The next day in the morning  he was not at the door. He liked to sleep in the tree. We could not get him to go in the coop in the evening. Something got him, but I am so thankful for the time I had him and the laughter he brought..
