I actually tried to do my own blog today, but I have moved and it may be a month until I get my own computer back. The library just would not post for some reason. So have some patience; I will do what I am able in the hour alloted for now. Just the thorns of life hindering until I overcome the trials of life once again. Thanks so much. Tuesday Times-The Metal School bus.

Now it is far from perfect and would never make the grade of the perfect ones I found on Etsy. I had to use stuff I already had,but it was fun to paint it to be ready for last Wednesday when school started. I have an excuse anyway since right behind the mailbox is a slope into a weed patch ditch ; Would you want to stumble down into a mass of stickers, poisonous vipers and, or Lyme carrying ticks, chiggers? I am trying to quit that one.

I longed for the days when I had toddlers who would get excited and hang onto the pole , not wanting to leave what I made. Grudgingly they stood there.

They moved away as we heard that bus. That first day of school this year was a relief for them to see the real one.

Foto Friday-Cold blooded creatures I saw.

Murphy’s Law- We went to the wonderful zoo in St. Louis MO on Monday. I had thought I was rather smart.  I charged my rechargeable batteries and brought them in my suitcase in a small Tupperware holder where they fit perfectly.  Well, we had to park about a mile away up the street; Even the pay to park was full. 5 hours in the zoo was wonderful, but tiring, especially as both my husband and myself were slightly sick. I transferred things I needed to have with me while in the zoo to my tote of a purse. Everything was great until after about 10 pictures on my camera, I got a notice saying low batteries. Yep my life. The one thing and probably  the most important item was having the batteries in my purse. Everyone else took some photos, but I got tired of asking them to take pictures like I would, which was every few feet. This was because I also loved all the foliage along the paths. I do not think I have ever been in a place with such diverse manner of flowers, tropical plants, shrubs and have it maintained like that.  No one in my family is into plants like me. They probably took at max 50 photos and that may be a stretch. I would have done at least 500.

MEMORIES: I still have this book. One of my favorites. I am hoping to do some postings on the zoo visit we did on Monday. Does anyone remember this book? Is pretty long, but a great story and funny pictures.

Must have worn my mom out to read this. This was not at all like the zoo we went to. I am still wondering where that place is.

I am going on our yearly family trip tomorrow through Tuesday, So if anyone misses me, I will be back by at least Thursday. St. Louise this year and then my oldest daughter is leaving my nest for the first time on Wednesday on the plane. Going back to our home state for College.

Summer Dreams

Weekend Wanderings on a blog I follow. Caught me so well today. While walking for health sake in the evening I am noticing the wane of the fireflies as summer winds down. This fits so well with the melancholy I feel on that plane of still shadow. This does not show the image that caught my eye and to read the whole message written click the link. I adore the whole thing. Very talented. You will see why this fits with the loss I feel daily with fireflies being seen less and less.
